Fear (of flying) makes cowards of us all – is there anything to be afraid of?

The prospect of air travel does not arouse excitement in everyone. There are people for whom being at the airport and on board a plane is a source of discomfort or even fear. Passengers who experience a fear of flying tend to create scenarios in their heads that have little to do with reality. A hostile passenger, a breakdown, severe turbulence and even uncertainty about their own reactions can spoil the pleasure of the trip and in extreme cases lead to a complete abandonment of the plane as a means of transport. Problems at the airport – what can happen to a passenger?

Even if the plane arrives on time and the luggage goes where it should, the passenger can experience many unpleasant things at the airport. A canceled flight creates huge logistical problems. If you find yourself in this fatal situation, you are of course entitled to a full refund for your ticket. Alternatively, the carrier may offer another connection. If the waiting time is long, the passenger must receive accommodation in a hotel with transport. In the event of being left at the airport, the carrier is obliged to provide care, including meals and e-mail and telephone contact with the world – but this is poor consolation.

If the flight does take place, but the plane takes off later than planned, the passenger can also claim their rights. Whether you are entitled to compensation in a given case and in what amount, depends on how much the flight is delayed.

Lost or damaged luggage – procedures

In many cases, losing luggage is much more problematic than a cancelled flight. If a suitcase is lost, the passenger faces a long and arduous road – and without any guarantee of success. You have to go to the appropriate point at the airport, describe the luggage, fill out the form. Then all that is left is to wait.

The carrier is obliged to reimburse the costs incurred as a result of the loss of luggage. However, it is worth bearing in mind that the amount of compensation is a maximum of PLN 7,000. If there was something more valuable in your suitcase, the loss is therefore severe. In addition, complaint procedures drag on for weeks and the passenger has to cope on his own, without his belongings, often in a foreign country.

The icing on the cake is the fact that the above obligations apply only to airlines registered in the EU. Entities from other countries may operate on different principles and put the passenger in an even worse situation. Fortunately, there is a real alternative to problematic scheduled flights. Year by year, Poles are increasingly interested in private flights, carried out on board comfortable jets. It is hardly surprising, considering how many advantages are associated with traveling by private jet. The planes are intimate, comfortable, safe and modern. In 2022, private planes took off from Polish airports almost 9 thousand times. Just 5 years earlier, there were more than five times fewer flights. In the context of private planes, it is often said that we buy not a plane or a flight, but time. Bombardier Challenger 605 – history

The Canadian company Bombardier Aviation, part of Bombardier Inc., is responsible for the production of Bombardier aircraft. The company can boast an impressive history – it has been on the market since 1942. Its founder, Joseph-Armand Bombardier, was a renowned inventor in his time. In the case of first class on a scheduled plane, the carrier also tries to maximize the comfort of passengers. The seats in first class are also more comfortable than in economy class.

What a first class customer on a scheduled plane will not receive is complete personalization of the flight. We have to adapt to the flight schedule and we have no influence on who will sit in the adjacent seats.

A private jet charter is a solution for everyone who particularly values ​​the comfort of the flight, but also its safety – the risk of a threat from third parties is minimized to almost zero. All this means that the offer of luxury flights by private jets is increasingly used by business people who have to cover large distances in a short time or simply want to fall asleep in their own bed even if they participate in meetings during the day in places thousands of kilometers away from home. The second group for whom private jets are especially recommended are private users who focus on comfort and prefer non-standard destinations, not served by cruise lines.

Who is first class on a plane suitable for?

First class also has its advantages. It is a cheaper option than a jet chartered for one or several people. Bombardier Challenger 300 – history

The aircraft was manufactured by the Canadian company Bombardier Aviation, a branch of Bombardier Inc. The company has been operating on the market since 1942. Its surprising name, however, has nothing to do with the arms industry, but comes from the name of its founder. Joseph-Armand Bombardier was an entrepreneur and inventor. He invented, among other things, the snowmobile. In order to sell these vehicles on a large scale, he opened a company that has survived to this day, but is now known not for scooters, but for high-class aircraft.

The Challenger 300 model was presented to the world in 1999 during the Paris Air Show, then called Bombardier Continental. The plane officially went on sale in 2004 and is still in production today. It found the most admirers in the USA, and that is where most of the production goes.

The plane belongs to the super midsize jet class. It has a range of 5741 km, which means that it can fly over the Atlantic or the entire US mainland on a single tank. This was the original assumption of the design of this model – to enable travel within the States without the need for a stopover.

The Bombardier Challenger 300 reaches a maximum speed of 891 km/h, which means that the intercontinental journey will take just a few hours. It is powered by two Honeywell HTF7000 turbofan engines.
