COVID-19

Procedures at AMC Aviation to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and COVID-19 disease:

HYGIENIC CONDITIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Before each flight all crew members are checked for symptoms and temperature screening is applied. Crew will wear masks and gloves as allowed and required.

Our Service concept has been aligned to the new hygiene and social distancing standards while offering our guests a customary high-class service.

PASSENGER SAFETY

For your own safety, every person entering the aircraft receives a temperature screening, own protective mask and hand disinfection Spray/Gel. The crew will ensure a back-up stock of personal precaution equipment on board of every AMC Aviation aircraft.

AIRCRAFT DISINFECTION

To avoid a nosocomial infection, we disinfect inside our Aircraft, after and before each flight.

We are using products and solutions respectful of the environment (highest biodegradability) and respectful of the health of the users. With this clean technology, we also achieve the highest efficacy to ensure new state-of-the art hygiene standards to protect our passengers and crew.

PORTABLE BIOSANITIZER

After only an influence time of 30 minutes, all surfaces of the aircraft cabin, being accessible by air, are disinfected and hygienically clean.

UNIVERSAL PRECAUTION KIT (UPK)

Each AMC Aviation aircraft is equipped with a Universal Precaution Kit (UPK). Such kits provide the necessary equipment to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.

The items contained in the UPK meet the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) and IATA/EASA recommendations for personal protection safety measures onboard of an aircraft.

Aircraft filters & ventilation

Modern aircraft are designed to renew the cabin air every two to three minutes. That means 20 to 30 times per hour, the air around you is completely filtered.

Air is collected from outside the aircraft, normally through the engine, and mixed with recycled air from the cabin. The recycled air, which is reused in part to keep temperature and humidity at the correct levels, is passed through HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filters that are similar to those used in hospitals. The coronavirus is about 125 nanometres in diameter (a nanometre is a billionth of a metre) and is within the particle-size range that HEPA filters capture.

HEPA filters have standards, and the standards we use in business aviation are among the highest standards. They filter out 99.97% of particulates (small particles) of the size of SARS-CoV-2. The flow of the air itself, is also designed to minimise infection risks. The air flows vertically. It is blown from above your head and evacuated from beneath your feet. That makes the level of propagation of anything in the air quite limited.
